Diploma program in language editing

The program is aimed at training Hebrew language and style editors in any domain that may require style editing, such as: publishing houses, newspapers, radio stations, television channels, websites, etc

Admission criteria

Students with language and writing skills who hold a bachelor's degree with a minimum grade point average of 76 may apply. Students without a major in Hebrew may undergo a screening exam. Students who have completed two years at the undergraduate level at Bar-Ilan’s Department of Hebrew with high achievements but have not yet completed their degree may also be admitted. Students without a background in Hebrew must complete introductory courses of up to 4 AC (annual-based credits) (8 SC – semester-based credits) and obtain an average of 76 in them.

The chair of the departmental committee is authorized to recommend special candidacy to the School of Graduate Studies based on student qualifications not listed here.

Note:
Students who have completed their basic Jewish studies requirements in their master’s degree at Bar-Ilan are exempt from Jewish studies requirements.

Certification

Students who pass their coursework are awarded a diploma in language editing.
