Honors

Bar-Ilan University is entitled to change its policy for awarding honors. Announcements will be made accordingly.

The grade point average does not include grades for basic Jewish studies, master’s degree English, background course completion, but these are included in the student’s academic report.

Track A (with thesis)

In thesis-based tracks, honors will be granted at the levels of ‘excellence’ / ‘distinction’. The absolute grades required for ‘excellence’ / ‘distinction’ are available on the Registrar’s Office website.

The numerical grades required for honors / highest honors may change from year to year.

The final master’s degree grade is determined by a weighted average of the thesis grade and coursework in each academic
