School of Graduate Studies

The School of Graduate Studies offers students personalized counseling and support during their tenure at the School, starting with their registration to advanced degrees, academic and personal counseling during their studies and after graduation, guidance for their thesis and dissertation, and career counseling after graduation.

Additionally, the School coordinates and assists the students in all matters regarding grants, fellowships and scholarships, including financial aid and scholarships for academic excellence. 

The objective of the School of Graduate Studies is to leverage the research done at BIU by creating a framework which will provide efficient and professional services to candidates and graduates.  These services include control, supervision and follow up on all administrative and academic aspects of student care, and developing innovative programs for research students.

 

The School's responsibilities:

  • Supervising all matters related to graduate studies within BIU's academic departments
  • Supervising the appointments of departmental committees for graduate studies
  • Reviewing admittance terms and exceptions
  • Reviewing and approving new study programs/tracks
  • Handling all matters regarding the students' academic tenure at BIU
  • Handling all matters concerning student scholarships (academic excellence and financial aid)
  • Approving appointed academic advisors
