Admission
Policy applicability
The policies specified in this handbook, on the course schedule website and in the registration handbook, apply to students in accordance with the year in which they began their study in their department, unless they resumed their studies after an unauthorized leave of absence or have changed their track or specialization. Nonetheless, Bar-Ilan University is authorized to change admission procedures, curricula (such as course content, instructors, etc.), and academic programs (such as removing specializations, changing course schedules and canceling courses), so long as the overall number of required course hours remains as it was in the student’s first year.
Applicants with degrees from foreign countries
Graduates of universities and institutions in foreign countries must present the following:
- English language diplomas and transcripts issued by the educational institution.
- Grade ranking within the institutions where prior degrees were awarded.
- If English language documents are not available, the documents must be submitted in their original language together with an English translation, notarized to attest to the accuracy of the translation.
Applications whose earlier degrees are from extensions of foreign institutions in Israel, or applicants who studied online or via correspondence, will have their applications considered by the School of Graduate Studies subject to the CHE’s Table of Overseas Extensions.
Such applicants who wish to study in the Hebrew language must have Hebrew language proficiency at a level permitting course participation executing all assignments.
