Transitioning from one track to another

Students who would like to transition from the research-based Track A (with thesis) to the non-research Track B (no thesis), or conversely, must submit a request to the School of Graduate Studies that includes a recommendation by the departmental committee, no later than the end of their first year of study. The departmental committee, by approval of the dean of the School of Graduate Studies, is entitled to consider earlier track studies as partial or total fulfillment of requirements of the target track.
