Dissertation review
Evaluation of the dissertation is under the responsibility of the School of Graduate Studies.
- Evaluation by an internal and an external reviewer – the dissertation shall be sent to internal and external reviewers by the School of Graduate Studies, as indicated in the Rules and Regulations, Clause 10(1). Dissertation reviewers must be of senior lecturer rank or above in the standard track.
- Review by a research advisory committee is as specified in the chapter on research advisory committees.
- The departmental committee is authorized to require a student to defend the dissertation, whether it has been reviewed by internal and external reviewers or by the research advisory committee.
