3. The application process

Applicants should review the programs, requirements and curricula of the degree they are seeking before beginning the actual application process.

How to apply

 * Documents to be included in the application packet:

  1. Bachelor's degree diploma or official degree eligibility certification.
  2. A transcript including grades from all bachelor’s degree courses and the final grade point average.
  • Holders of a B.Ed are requested to include a transcript from all four years of study, including a weighted average of their B.Ed. and teaching license.
  • Graduates of universities and institutions in foreign countries must present the following:
    1. English language diplomas and transcripts issued by the educational institution.
    2. Grade ranking of the institution that granted the degree.
    3. If English language documents are not available, the documents must be submitted in their original language alongside an English translation, notarized to attest to the accuracy of the translation.
  • Applicants in their last year of undergraduate study must include official notification from their institution indicating the list of courses that are yet to be completed for the degree. Such students must also submit a transcript including the grade point average, current to the time of application.

3.  Documentation of additional courses beyond the bachelor’s degree may also be attached.

4.  A photocopy of an official ID including name, ID number and date of birth.

 5. Proof of payment of application submission fee.

Applicants who have completed their undergraduate degree at Bar-Ilan University are not required to submit items 1 and 2.

Documents submitted with the application packet will not be returned.

* Sections 1-3 require an official, formal copy, authorized and stamped by the issuing institution of the diploma or certification. Application documents sent via email by the institution at which the applicant completed their prior degree directly to the School of Graduate Studies, shall be considered, in most cases, as original, official documents.

Alternatively, photocopies of documents may be certified by the university when the original and copy are presented together. This document certification process is available at the School of Graduate Studies office, at the department or at the Services and Recruitment Center. Copies certified by an attorney will not be accepted.

Official documents may be sent initially as attachments to the application form or via the request form.

The application form and supporting documents may be submitted during the application window at the School of Graduate Studies office or the Services and Recruitment Center (502/19).

Documents sent via mail must be postmarked with a date no later than the end of the application window. The determining date is the date the packet is sent and not the date of payment of the application fee.

Only applications that include all required documents will be addressed and considered.

Acceptance and rejection letters are sent via email. They may also be viewed on the In-Bar portal.
