Conducting research outside of Bar-Ilan University
- Bar-Ilan University will not award a master’s degree nor a PhD in a case where studies and research were conducted in another institution, unless special approval has been granted by the School of Graduate Studies.
- The School of Graduate Studies is authorized to approve master’s or PhD research in another scientific institution in Israel or in a foreign country, provided the student was admitted to Bar-Ilan University before beginning research.
- The chair of the departmental committee may recommend to the School of Graduate Studies to approve master’s or PhD courses from another recognized academic institution, if the research topic requires so, up to a total of 4 AC. The time spent in the other institution counts toward the overall time duration required for the degree. In any event, a minimum of 50% of required credit hours must be taken at Bar-Ilan University.
