Bar-Ilan University encourages PhD students to publish articles in research journals in various fields of the humanities – Jewish studies, humanities, social sciences, law, and interdisciplinary human sciences.

PhD students whose article, whether related to their dissertation or another topic, has been accepted for publication in a research journal included in the list of journals recognized by the Council for Higher Education, will receive the Dean’s Award from the School of Graduate Studies in the amount of 3,000 NIS. Acceptance for publication in a journal recognized by the university’s international ranking criteria will entitle the student to the President’s Award in the amount of 4,000 NIS. Eligibility for the award is conditional upon indicating Bar-Ilan University as the institutional affiliation of the authors. The award will be granted for each published article, so it is possible to receive more than one award during the course of studies.

The deadline for submitting applications is 31.12.2025 (11 Tevet 5786). Applications will apply to articles accepted for publication after 1.10.2025 and until the submission date.

Applications must be submitted using the designated application form along with the required documents, through the online submission system.
